4/25/2023 0 Comments Dark souls 3 heal the dark sigil![]() What I see is a ring of fire with a transparent interior: In the end, I am not able to see, physically, the darksign as a black hole. And have you think what is the role of the dark sigil in your theory? Just random ocurrance of seeping humanity? The undead accumulates too much humanity and it begins to leak by elsewhere? I just have a minor discrepancy about the darksign and the seal of fire. I'm happy we agree in the general picture of what is happening in the games. But this is an example of him trying to do the right thing. Not ideal, of course, but I'd say preferable to splooshing Pus of Man all over the place. Rather than being walking fountains of Abyssal matter, Undead instead became undying slaves of fire, their humanity slowly burning up inside them, slowly turning them into Hollows. In other words, the Gods did not create the Undead Curse- they prevented it from doing more damage. Instead, that Humanity would burn up- that's why Undead lose their Humanity in DkS1 and 2. A ring of blazing fire surrounding the Darksign, preventing Humanity from getting out. The Gods already found success sealing the Abyss contained within the Ringed Knight's equipment, so they decided to use the same method again. ![]() Well that's not great, is it? How could that problem be solved? So we have the Darksign, a gaping black hole in the flesh through which Humanity leaks, coalescing into a viscous, Abyssal mass. And if we refer back to the Dark Sigil description, it seems like that's exactly what was happening with the Darksign. We've seen in Oolacile and in Lothric what happens when Humanity leaks out of someone. We know that Humanity and the Abyss are one and the same. The ring of fire is the "seal" created by the Gods to seal the Abyss. So we can conclude from this that the hole is the Darksign, not the ring of fire. ![]() So if the Dark Sigil looks like a black hole and the Darksign looks like the Dark Sigil, then the Darksign looks like a black hole.Īnd if you look at the Darksign- or the Ringed Knight armour for that matter- you can see that it does indeed look like a black hole. It looks, as the description says, like a black hole. Notice that the Dark Sigil does not look like a ring of fire. The "brand of the Undead" is the Darksign- it has been described as such elsewhere. This "black, gaping hole", through which "the darkness of humanity seeps" is said to resemble the "brand of the Undead". The darkness of humanity seeps from this bottomless pitch-back hole, the gap filled by the accumulation of the curse. So is the Darksign a seal of Fire placed on man? No.Ī black gaping hole in the flesh that resembles the brand of an Undead. This seal looks like a ring of fire, surrounding a gaping black hole.Īnd it looks just like the Darksign. So this tells us that the early men of the Ringed City used the Abyss to forge their weapons and armour, and that the Gods (for the sake of argument let's say it was Gwyn's decision) sealed them with fire to block the Abyss they were infused with. The armor of early men was forged in the Abyss, and betrays a smidgen of life.įor this reason the gods cast a seal of fire upon such armor, and those who possessed them. Malformed black armor of the Ringed Knights. I'm going to go over what the Darksign is and what Gwyn did create.įirst, let's look at the piece of evidence that people have taken to mean that Gwyn created the Darksign- the Ringed Knight gear description: No, because Gwyn didn't create the Darksign. Did he do it to keep mankind under control? To force them to keep linking the Fire? To destroy their Humanity? Recently, one of the more popular things to discuss is how Gwyn created the Darksign.
